Oracle Access Manager 11g Prerequisites for Windows<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Minimum System Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

1.1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Supported Operating Systems<\/p>\n

1.1.1. Windows Server 2008 SP2+ (32-bit and 64-bit)<\/p>\n

1.1.2. Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit only)<\/p>\n

1.2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>*RAM: 8 GB+<\/p>\n

1.3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Virtual Memory: 8GB+<\/p>\n

1.4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>HDD Space: At least 70-80GB of free space for the installation directory\/drive where you want Oracle Access Manager 11g Installed (If Oracle Forms will be on the same server, an additional 50GB of free space will be required)<\/p>\n

1.5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>The operating system user that is used for the installation must have Administrative privileges on the machine and \u201cFull Access\u201d to the file system directory where 11g WebLogic and Oracle Access Manager will be installed.<\/p>\n

1.6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>IPv6 must be disabled on your network adapter before OAM can be installed. IPv6 is not supported with OAM.<\/p>\n

\u00a0*RAM and File System Mount Specifications: For production systems, please consult PITSS or Oracle on sizing recommendations. The amount of RAM, HDD Space for SWAP and Software Mounts will vary depending on end-user usage and application characteristics. Also, if Oracle Forms will be installed on the same server, 16 GB+ RAM will be required.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Software Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

2.1.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Java JDK 1.7.0_17 (or latest version of Java JDK 7)<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.1.1. Go to http:\/\/www.oracle.com\/technetwork\/java\/javase\/downloads\/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

2.1.2. Click on \u201cjdk-7u17-windows-i586.exe\u201d for 32-bit and \u201cjdk-7u17-windows-x64.exe\u201d for 64-bit.<\/p>\n

NOTE: This is the page to download the latest JDK version.<\/p>\n

NOTE: Java JDK\u00a0 1.7.0_7 is the minimum required for OAM 11.1.1.7.0 if using Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6, but we recommend the latest version of JDK (1.7.0_17+) as it is more current and contains critical security updates.<\/p>\n

2.2.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Database Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

A separate Database for Oracle Access Manager 11g will be needed to store the OAM and OID schemas.<\/p>\n

2.2.1. Database 11gR2 is recommended for Oracle Access Manager 11g<\/p>\n

2.2.2. We\u2019ll need a database user with DBA privileges accessible.<\/p>\n

2.2.3. The file tnsnames.ora containing the SID of the database will need to be placed in the server\/client in the same location as the other prerequisites.<\/p>\n

2.2.4. Database Character Set: AL32UTF8<\/p>\n

2.2.5. Database Parameter Requirements:<\/p>\n

2.3.2. After accepting the license agreement, scroll down to Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6. Do NOT install 12c. You will see a plus box next to \u201cOracle Weblogic Server 10.3.6\u201d. Click the plus box next to \u201cSee all files\u201d and more options will be available.<\/p>\n

2.3.3. The \u201cOracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.6) + Coherence Package Installer<\/b>\u201d is the recommended installer of choice.<\/p>\n

2.3.4. Please download the file that corresponds to your system OS.\u00a0 For 64-bit Windows Installations, the \u201cGeneric<\/b>\u201d Installer will need to be downloaded.<\/p>\n
